Announcement Request Submittal Terms

A paper hard copy of this form is available at 210 Chota Road (Public Safety Building); for those who do not want to submit the on-line digital form.

  1. All portions of the Announcement Request Form must be completed. Non-applicable portions should be marked with “n/a”, not left blank. Incomplete requests will be returned.
  2. Form Attachments: Only the information on the Request Form will be included in the announcement.
  3. Message Size, time, and other limits: Text in the “Additional Information” section is limited to 15 words or less. The announcement will go into rotation and be displayed for 10-12 seconds each time, unless special circumstances merit more time. Contact person(s) may or may not select to have their contact information included in the broadcast announcement.
  4. Request Timeliness: All requests must be received at Tellico Village Broadcasting no less than seven (7) days, and no more than 30 days prior to the requested broadcast dates. Late and/or special requests will be handled on a per case basis.
  5. Request Acknowledgment: A receipt of accepted or rejected announcement requests will be forwarded to the email address contained in the form. If no email address is entered, notification will be by phone.
  6. Broadcast Time Limits: Announcements will be broadcast no more than ten (10) calendar days. Repeat of an announcement requires a new Announcement Request form be submitted. Event announcements will be broadcast no more than 2 cycles. Repeating announcements are broadcast at Tellico Village Broadcasting’s discretion.
  7. Request Requirements: Announcement Requests will only be accepted from Tellico Village residents or POA employees. The resident must be the assigned sponsor/representative of the recognized TV club or organization. Requests not fitting these criteria will not be accepted.
  8. Unacceptable Requests: Requests from any source for the sale of goods, services, or property of any kind; from commercial businesses for any purpose, including fund-raising; from any religious or charitable group without involvement of a TV resident; and from political candidates or support groups.
  9. Exceptions: Special notices, clearly written, telephoned, or email submitted will be prepared for prompt broadcasting in the following situations a) emergency announcements pertaining to the safety, health, or general well-being and/or unique special interest for TV residents, b) missing persons, pets, lost or found property, etc. These exceptions are predicated on the availability of Tellico Village Broadcasting staff. TVB must be informed of the return of missing persons, pets, and property.
  10. Request Acceptance/Rejection: Acceptance and/or rejection of announcement requests will be made in the best reasonable judgment and at the discretion of the staff of TVB. The station manager will decide disputed requests.
  11. Announcement Content: Announcements will contain the following information and consistent format:
    1. Header with Group/Activity Name/Title
    2. Event Name
    3. Event Day of the week (3 or 4 letter format; i.e. Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun)
    4. Event Month (3 or 4 letter format; i.e. Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec)
    5. Event Date (numeral format; i.e. 4, 15, 24, etc)
    6. Event Time (xx:yy am/pm format: 8 am, 2 pm, 5:30 pm)
    7. Event Location
    8. Additional Information (no more than 15 words)
    9. Info/Contact (Name, phone number, and email address)
    10. Font type/size, background and colors, conducive to easy reading
